RAM-DDR3
The body JEDEC standardization of semiconductor Electronic Industries Alliance, announced that it had carried out the publication of the standard DDR3 memory. The new type of memory aims not only to improve the current performance of traditional RAM, but also to reduce consumption, because the DDR3 have a voltage of 1.5 volts, while that of the existing DDR2 is 1.8 volts.
Such memories will be used in the field of notebook computers and high performance. Another novelty is the density of memory chips in that DDR3 has grown from 512 Mbit to 8 Gbit.
