The manufacturer of AMD, announced a decline in the price of CPU Opteron already beginning of August. The decrease in the price, should take place by August 5 and is expected to hit the 200 series, 2200, 800 and 8200. The 200 could have even reductions between 20 and 33 percent, while the series 2200 should see a decline between 10 and 30 percent. For the line cpu Desktop are not expected rebates, AMD instead announces still some adjustments to prices on dual-core models:

-- 5600 from 179 dollars to 149 U.S. dollars
-- 5200 from 169 dollars to 129 U.S. dollars
-- 4800 from 129 dollars to 109 U.S. dollars
-- 4400 from 115 dollars to 89 U.S. dollars
-- 4200 from 102 dollars to 79 U.S. dollars
-- 4000 by 99 dollars to 69 U.S. dollars

The rival Intel, in the range desktop instead apply a price reduction on quad-core processors.
